Safety First: Call 911 for Emergencies

For any security emergency steps, whether facing an active break-in safety threat or a fire or CO emergency, your first and most important action is the 911 first procedure. This emergency protocol puts you directly in contact with local dispatchers who can send help without delay. While your local home security provider’s monitoring service can also alert authorities after an alarm, dialing 911 yourself is the fastest way to get police, fire, or medical responders on the way.

Security Situations We Respond To

While 911 is for emergencies involving threat to life, our central monitoring station covers a broad range of security situations, from break-ins to motion triggers to smoke alarms and component failures. After an alarm trigger, we first contact you to confirm the event. If we are unable to confirm, we dispatch the emergency responders.

We work with you to reduce false alarms by verifying the events with you or through a review of the sensor data prior to dispatch. Our system works similarly for smart home alerts like door/window alerts or motion alerts from a video doorbell. Thermostat alerts to go off or come on are also dispatched the same way. When our system detects a low sensor battery or a Wi-Fi dropout, our security system troubleshooting includes notifying you and scheduling maintenance.

Transparent Pricing for Emergency Services

We make our no hidden fee security policy part of our emergency response to let you know your security dispatch fee and after-hours alarm response service rate up-front. That way, you have full transparency with your monitoring costs. We provide this policy to all residents of Santa Monica and the surrounding areas, keeping security pricing honest and predictable. Our certified team, once on site, utilizes a diagnostic process to resolve your issue as quickly as possible.

Our Diagnostic Process on Arrival

Upon a security technician’s arrival, we begin with a short walk-through to confirm the symptoms you reported, ensuring the diagnostic alarm assessment targets the right areas.

During the on-site security assessment, we test your Alula panel, door and window sensors, motion detectors, and cameras. Using the Alula App and Alula panel diagnostic tools, we test communication and signals and verify settings.

We walk you through the alarm system troubleshooting steps. We perform a same-day alarm repair on the same visit whenever feasible. Every technician has a valid California ACO 4251 license.
